I’m Leslie!

I am the cooking crazed, content creator behind The Laughing Kitchen. I am a wife, new mama and full time higher education professional! My friends have described me as the “hostess with the mostest” – and they’re not wrong! My favorite thing in the world is having the people I love, in my home, enjoying good company and eating delicious food. I am so excited to welcome you into my living room, and give you a taste of the love and laughter I share with my family and friends.
 

To be perfectly honest, I haven’t always had the best relationship with food. I am a self-proclaimed “fad diet” guru” – I have done them all, no really, all of them! Weight Watchers, Paleo, Whole 30, Keto, The Dash Diet and the list goes on. Here is what I learned…are you ready for it? They ALL work! You can lose weight on any of these plans but what is sustainable is another story. I have learned so many things from each one – the importance of natural and organic ingredients, portion control, how food can make you feel and some AMAZING recipes. A little over a year ago I dropped the yo-yo dieting and began to incorporate all of the things I had learned into a holistic lifestyle change. The weight came off and I was feeling better than ever until…

My husband and I found out we were expecting and welcomed our baby girl into the world! Our little family began and we have been loving every second of this new normal. After a long (and I mean long) nine months and navigating all that comes with postpartum, I am excited to refocus some energy on my health. I hope you follow along as I laugh my way through the kitchen, my weight loss journey, and this new crazy life!
